Hello Spicy Readers,
I am truly honored and excited to bring you this conversation with my multi-talented, kind-hearted friend, Jacob Nordby.
In this conversation, we get curious about the need for men to do their healing work, be creative, and foster this in the boys we raise, despite what society tells them. In what could have been a multiple-hour conversation, we attempt to validate and make the case for men of all ages to find their moment of clarity in a way that supports the collective world right now, away from individuality, toxicity, misogyny, and machismo.
Jacob shares a little bit about his life growing up in a fundamentalist, repressed, and sheltered community, finding new guides in authors/teachers like Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, and a near-death experience with the help of plant medicine that forever changed him. These teachers, along with the friendship with Julia Cameron and the methods in “The Artist’s Way,” helped Jacob foster his inherent spiritual and creative connection.
I invite you to have a listen to hear us discuss all this and more.
