Great story, Shelley. I get bored with strategy games, too, which you’d think I would like since I’m a researcher. But the creative in me is too impatient, I guess. I love that your son has an interest in sports journalism like Poppi.
I think some of those traits do get passed down in our DNA. My nephew got his bachelor’s in journalism like I did. He also loves to write pretty much anything and has filled volumes of journals. Again, like me. But I don’t think he knew that when he started writing his degree or all those journals. I was so pleased and amazed when I learned of his interest in writing. What gets passed down in our genetic tree is fascinating.
So relatable in sooo many ways, Shelley. My son has always enjoyed games that I absolutely cannot play without losing my mind. I desperately want to play with him, and at the same time, cannot do all of the things (no matter how hard I try).
Lovely Shelley. Generation after generation some special characteristics shine through. Also, since I listened to The Telepathy Tapes, although not scientific,I think that some things I always wished were true and thought might be true, are getting closer and closer to the discovery that they are true, or at least are possible.
Thank you, Ann! I need to listen to those recordings as it keeps coming up and today is the second time! Absolutely, these things are true and I make a choice to believe them. It’s combined DNA and science and also the unexplainable mystery of how life doesn’t end, it just continues. What a wild ride!
I have always chosen to believe too. I am delving into writings from my great Aunts right now and have a deep sense of somehow belonging to all i discover. Wild for sure.
What a perfect tribute to your grandfather and your son who will find his path. And I have no doubt, Poppi, is helping your son find reasons to be interested and inspired. I think we’d get along great—- strategic thinking is my jam more so than ooey gooey things. I clearly have both inclinations, strategic and emotional intelligence but lean towards strategy being a INTP/J but more Perceiving traits. This ties into my Human Design traits perfectly.

Thanks, Prajna. xx

That’s wonderful! Enjoy. Will look forward to see how it shows up for you.

Thanks, Leslie! I'm glad you can relate and I appreciate your taking the time. You are strategic, I can see that. But what are ooey gooey things? :)
